@ayana.m.evans and @tsedayeat OyG Feb. 15 - 28th, 2021!
The artists’ collaborative performance and video work focuses on commodification of Black bodies, bringing visibility to the experiences of Black women, and harnessing the power of community. A limited run screening of a selection of their work will be featured on OyG’s virtual platforms (website, YouTube, IGTV) from Feb. 15 - 28th, culminating with a live event - The Ayana & Tsedaye Variety Show during which the artists will present a one time only performance featuring video clips of their collaborative work and visits from a number of surprise guests that the duo is in community with.
The Ayana & Tsedaye Variety Show will be broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube on Fri. Feb. 26th from 7:00 - 8:00 pm
A selection of limited edition 11 x 14 in. prints by the artists will be sold through OyG online through Feb. 28th. Pricing and availability of the prints will be structured as follows:
* Feb. 15th - 21st - “Black Discount Week” - All prints will be sold for $250 (including shipping) in editions of 20.
* Feb. 22nd - 28th - “White Museum Rate Week” - All prints will be sold for $500 (including shipping) in editions of 20.
